When we were first introduced to Anthony Norman of ATL Packaging he had very little practical experience of importing at all, but had identified a key business advantage to sourcing product from China and needed help in getting his plans off the ground. We were able to assist in setting him up with his EORI and provide information on freight options costs and schedules and consulting closely with him on product classification in the HM Customs Tariff to establish the Duty and VAT payable on arrival in the UK; so he eventually had a landed cost model to work with.
When this then led to landing a large contract requiring fixed prices in GBP for 12 months, we introduced him to Schneider FX who were able to provide him with forward orders for the purchases in USD currency alleviating the exchange rate risk.

TV Production Company
The Outside Broadcast Production Team at ARK won a contract to film Golf Tournaments around the world to provide nightly highlights for screening on multi national Sports News Channels. Freedom Logistics were able to support their full logistical requirements to get the mobile TV Production Unit including everything from cameras to blank tapes to each tournament site within strict timeframes. Using a combination of dedicated trucks and airfreight and taking care of Temporary Import Customs procedures with ATA Carnets we were able to get the equipment to each site on time and assist with unloading and loading and then return the kit after the tournament without delay.

The customer wanted to develop operational capability to source and supply a wide range of highly specified electrical and instrumentation materials worldwide. Since working with Freedom Logistics we have successfully moved Full Container Loads (FCL) and airfreight from Mexico to Japan, from Italy to the UK, from the UK to Abu Dhabi, from the Czech Republic to Netherlands and set up a staging warehouse facility in the northern Netherlands to facilitate deliveries to a highly regulated power plant construction site.

The challenge when we first started working with Medline in the UK was to reduce cost and add value to their international supply chain from all their suppliers and factories across Asia and Europe to their UK distribution centre and direct to some of their larger customers.
Working closely with them we established competitive rate structures for Ocean Freight and European Road Freight and designed bespoke operational and communication processes to put them in the driving seat and 100% satisfy all their needs; which included 24/7 visibility of the current status of all shipments. Together, we carefully planned and executed the transition of all their open shipments to Freedom, and this was achieved in their timeframe and with no interruption to delivery schedules.

We were tasked with controlling their freight spend on samples of products from suppliers in the USA & Asia. This had got out of hand with separate shipments arriving almost daily into their London head office.
